Research Interests & Background
Over the course of my academic and professional career, I have studied a broad range of topics. I started out in the experimental psychology field where my research centered on LGBTQ+ health disparities, adolescent identity development, heath psychology & health behaviors, and eating disorders & body image. When I switched career paths to the field of public health, I began conducting epidemiological research related to transgender health care access and HIV. I now work on research related to HPV prevention and education for sexual minority women under the advisement of Dr. Rachel Winer. I have been able to incorporate what I have learned from my previous work to inform my current research related to LGBTQ+ sexual and reproductive health and adolescent sexual and gender identity development.
